Honda Off-Road Reveals Unlimited Ridgeline Off-Road Race Vehicle

Honda returns to Desert Off-Road racing with factory backed race program

November 3, 2015, Las Vegas, NV – Marking its return to 4-wheel off-road desert racing Honda unveiled its new Unlimited Ridgeline race vehicle at the Honda booth at SEMA today. The physical reveal was met with great applause as vehicle was combed over by fans and media alike. The custom built unlimited off-road race vehicle is backed by (HPD) Honda Performance Development, the racing arm of American Honda Motor Company, Inc.

The Unlimited Ridgeline features a twin-turbocharged Honda HR35TT V6 engine the same engine platform utilized in Honda’s respected Indy Car program. The vehicle also features the best parts and technology available in off-road including, an Albins ST6 sequential transmission, Fox racing shocks, rugged General Grabber tires, Rigid LED Lights, and KMC Wheels new Machete Wheel.

The 2015 SCORE Baja 1000 will be the maiden voyage for the new vehicle and team led by team owner/driver Jeff Proctor. “I am excited to launch this new vehicle and team. Being a Honda dealer, this has been a very personal endeavor. I believe in the Honda platform and I know we can bring long due recognition to (HPD) Honda Performance Development from the off-road culture. I have learned a lot from my 20+ years of racing off-road and I am looking forward to applying all my racing and business knowledge to running a successful program with Honda and all of our partners.” stated Team owner and driver Jeff Proctor.
